Authentic Pamplona Adoquín #045

March 15, 2026 by Trusted Bull Runner

This is Adoquín #045 — an authentic cobblestone from the historic streets of Pamplona’s Casco Viejo, the old quarter at the heart of the San Fermín festival and the encierro route.

These adoquines come directly from the collection of the now-closed Museo del Encierro, once located at Calle Mercaderes, 17 in Pamplona. The museum previously offered these rare stones in its gift shop. Encierro.com is now the only place in the world where they are available.

Every adoquín has witnessed centuries of Pamplona’s history — the footsteps of festival-goers, the thunder of bulls through ancient streets during the encierro, the celebrations of San Fermín. During the pedestrianization of Calle Estafeta — one of the most iconic stretches of the encierro route — thousands of 18th-century adoquines were removed. What was once underfoot is now a piece of living history.

Each adoquín is one of one — unique in shape, texture, and character. Many adoquines have been shaved on the back to allow for easy mounting in a shadow box or wall display. They make distinctive paperweights, conversation pieces, or meaningful one-of-a-kind gifts.
