The Story

The History of These Rare Pamplona Cobblestones

During the pedestrianization of Pamplona’s Old Town (Casco Viejo) that began in 1996, thousands of 18th-century cobblestones were removed. These authentic Pamplona cobblestones were originally made available through the Museo del Encierro, the Running of the Bulls museum that was once located on Calle Mercaderes.

Each historic stone carries with it the spirit of the festival and the echoes of the thousands of runners and the running of the bulls tradition.
