How 2030 Falls on the Week

Our early read, based on the pattern we see every year.

The chupinazo falls on Saturday July 6 and the first run on Sunday July 7, so the opening weekend lands on the busiest days of the fiesta.

The last run, July 14, is a Sunday, and the late-fiesta crowd is at its biggest when the 14th lands on a weekend. The calmer runs are likely the weekdays in the middle, Monday July 8 to Friday July 12.

More on why the weekday matters: the best time to visit San Fermín.

Still to come

What Is Not Set Yet

The dates are fixed. The detail is not. These are announced closer to the fiesta, and we add them here as they are confirmed.

  • The eight ganaderías (bull ranches), usually announced in November of the year before.
  • The Bando de San Fermín, the city's rules for the fiesta, including access times to the route.
  • Who lights the chupinazo from the town hall balcony.
  • Any works or changes around the route.
